Individual Rates approved effective January 2010

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has received approval for its Individual rates effective January 1, 2010.  Below is a list of the average increases per plan.  Please note that these are average increases and that the actual increase will vary by plan and deductible.  In general, the lower deductible plan options received higher increases than the higher deductible options.

• BlueCare (HMO) - 16.6%
• Century Preferred (PPO and HSA) - 16.5% (varies from 1.4% to 18.2% by deductible level and Rx coverage option)
• Tonik (PPO) - 13.0%
• Lumenos (CDHP) - 19.9%  (varies from -6.0% to 24.3% by deductible level)
